As we look toward 2026, one thing is clear: video is becoming more human, more intentional, and more story-driven.
Here’s what we’re seeing:
- Smarter short-form video — quick clips that actually tell a story
- Cinematic brand videos replacing long website copy
- Real people & real places instead of stock footage
- Founder-led storytelling that builds trust
- Better sound design that finally gets the attention it deserves
The shift towards connection is one that we’re genuinely excited about heading into 2026 — and it’s one we’ve already been lucky enough to experience firsthand while working with some truly fantastic people over the past few months.
Client Shoutout: Canned Heat (Fall River)
We’ve been busy filming with our friends at Canned Heat, a Fall River brewery serving fantastic brews, bar-style pizza, and some legendary giant pretzels.
Great food, great beer, and an even better vibe. Worth the drive and worth cheating on your New Year’s diet.
New Project Spotlight: Fog & Mist Emporium
We’re also excited to kick off video work with Fog & Mist Emporium, a new online boutique founded by our friend Eddie Farley.
Fog & Mist brings together New England artisans to create gift baskets that are both beautiful and practical. Perfect for the holiday season and beyond!
Check them out at fogandmist.com and support a great local startup.
From All of Us at Purple Turtle
Thank you to our clients, crew, and community for your continued support. We’re grateful for every project and every story we helped tell in 2025.
Wishing you smooth seas, lots of opportunities for connection and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Catch you on the dock,
— Gregg
