Ahoy friends,
Okay, okay—you caught me. If you’ve been checking the blog and wondering where the September and October posts went…let’s just say they got lost somewhere between lesson plans and a sea of pumpkin-flavored distractions. I’d love to tell you I was off filming coral reefs in Turks and Caicos or perfecting my drone skills over some tropical lagoon—but truth be told, I was knee-deep in syllabi, grading, and a handful of fun Purple Turtle projects.
One of my favorite Purple Turtle Productions projects this fall has been filming social media videos for my friends over at Riviera Café Brewhouse in Fall River.
If you haven’t been, Riviera Café is one of those local gems that just gets it right. It’s owned by George Dixon, who’s created a space that’s equal parts neighborhood hangout and craft beer heaven. George has a real passion for supporting local breweries, and it shows—he’s got beers from Shovel Town Brewery, Crue Brew Brewery, and Canned Heat on tap. He actually has 62 draft lines that rotate with the season. Yep, you read that right: 60+ drafts on tap. You could visit every week until spring and still not repeat your order (unless, of course, you find “your beer,” in which case…I get it)
Our team had a blast filming there—capturing the buzz of the crowd, the pour of a perfect pint, and the glint of warm light bouncing off a well-earned pizza. If you love that cozy pub atmosphere where everyone’s friendly, the food’s fantastic, and the beer list reads like a love letter to New England brewing (with a hint of pumpkin spice thrown in), this is your spot.
So before we officially turn the page to winter, throw on a flannel, grab a friend, and head down to Riviera Café Brewhouse. Try one of George’s fall beers, snag a slice of that delicious pizza, and raise a glass to good company and good stories.
As I wrap up another semester and look ahead to the winter months, rest assured—Purple Turtle Productions will keep the cameras rolling. If you’ve got a project in mind or want to take your social media presence to the next level, we’d love to help tell your story.
Catch you on the dock,
Gregg
