Ahoy friends,
March in New England doesn’t mess around. It’s cold, a little moody, and practically begs for cozy corners, warm kitchens, and something sweet within arm’s reach, which makes it the perfect month to spotlight Fog & Mist Emporium.
Fog & Mist Emporium is an exclusive shop celebrating the rich heritage and exceptional craftsmanship of New England (and, once in a while, beyond). They specialize in gourmet treats and artisan gifts sourced from local farmers and small business owners throughout the region, offering a carefully curated selection of premium products that embody quality and authenticity. The emporium is especially renowned for its beautifully crafted, high-end gift baskets—perfect for any occasion—combining the finest flavors and artisanal creations that capture the essence of New England’s coastal charm.
The Purple Turtle crew recently dropped anchor there for a few days to film social content with owner Edward Farley, and let me tell you, we leaned all the way into the cozy.
One highlight? Making pancakes right in their kitchen using a specialty mix from Polly’s Pancake Parlor and Vermont maple syrup. Friends, this wasn’t your average box-mix situation. These pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, and paired with that rich maple syrup, it felt like a weekend morning straight out of a postcard. Simple ingredients, done exceptionally well.
And it doesn’t stop at breakfast. Fog & Mist carries gourmet teas, coffees, and hot chocolates that are practically begging for a snowy afternoon. While filming, Ed and his friend sat by the fire with mugs of their hot chocolate in hand, the kind that’s smooth, rich, and actually tastes like chocolate. It was one of those slow, contented moments that reminds you why small businesses matter: thoughtful products and intentional experiences.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Ed’s two dogs, who enthusiastically approved of the homemade treats Fog & Mist supplies. Safe to say, tails were wagging and spirits were high.
As someone who has personally ordered from Fog & Mist, I can confidently say the products are top-notch. The ordering and shipping process were seamless, the packaging thoughtful, and the overall experience excellent from start to finish.
This spring, they’re also showcasing beautiful handmade goods and artwork from talented makers like Jerry Kelleher, Abbie Kenten, and Lisa Damato. Discover limited-edition prints, herbal teas, body oils, aromatherapy, and even handcrafted horseshoe crabs, each piece made with intention and care.
Do yourself a favor: grab a warm drink and head over to their website. You will not be disappointed. Whether it’s pancake mixes, homemade jam, gourmet coffee, body oils, or beautiful prints, there’s something special waiting for you—or someone special in your life.
Catch you on the dock!
